Erin (Yiting) Hou is a Los Angeles-based Spatial and Product Designer who bridges the gap between traditional artistry and technical innovation.
Born in Shenzhen and trained in Chinese painting for a decade, Erin’s design philosophy was further refined at ArtCenter College of Design. Her work is defined by the equilibrium of contrast: the balance of light and shadow, and the seamless integration of dynamic and static elements. She believes exceptional design must achieve rigorous technical perfection while fulfilling the aesthetic and spiritual needs of the inhabitant.
As a lead designer on high-impact projects—ranging from award-winning furniture for Bernhardt Design to the first inclusive residential community in Los Angeles—Erin specializes in the entire project lifecycle. Her expertise spans from deep conceptual storytelling to complex 3D engineering and on-site installation oversight.
The Tech Edge: With a focus on the future of the industry, Erin integrates Unreal Engine 5, Rhino, and AI-driven workflows into her practice, leveraging computational tools to accelerate conceptualization while maintaining the “human touch” of traditional craftsmanship.
